The right machine depends on the finished brush, material and production process. Start with a drawing or physical sample and define the required output with its time basis.
Define the block and hole pattern
Provide block dimensions, material, working faces, hole positions and tuft angles. State whether blocks are pre-drilled or whether drilling must be included in the machine process.
Confirm filament and tufting requirements
Specify filament material, diameter, length, colour arrangement and the required tuft. Ask the supplier to confirm the compatible wire, tooling and clamping arrangement from the sample; a method suitable for one block may not suit another.
Compare axes, heads and handling together
The number of axes describes positioning capability, but does not by itself define output. Compare drilling and tufting heads, clamping stations, loading, changeover and supporting equipment against the actual product.
Agree on acceptance before ordering
Use representative blocks and filament for a trial. Record the approved sample, output basis, required utilities, supplied tooling, training and spare-parts scope. Review the brush machine models and request a configuration review.
